§ Sir V. WarrenderThe last census of horses was undertaken in 1934, and no fresh census is contemplated. My hon. and learned Friend presumably has in mind the annual classification and registration of horses suitable for military purposes undertaken in Commands, and this must be continued as long as horses are likely to be required on mobilization. The volume of work is naturally diminishing.
