HC Deb 21 March 1938 vol 333 cc845-6
5. Colonel Sandeman Allen

asked the Prime Minister whether he will now consider appointing an ambassador to the court of the Shah at Teheran?

The Prime Minister

I will note my hon. Friend's suggestion, but his proposal gives rise to wide considerations affecting other countries than the two directly concerned, and I am not satisfied that the present time is the most suitable for its examination.
