67. Mr. Liddall

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will obtain and publish a synopsis of the existing relative information or, alternatively, set up a Departmental inquiry to ascertain what schemes have been proposed by the London and Home Counties joint electricity authority, acting as a judicial body, for consolidating and improving the electricity supply in the London and Home Counties area during the two separate periods 1925 to 1932 and I932 to 1938; and can he now state which of the authority's proposed schemes have been put into operation?

Particulars of the various proposals of the London and Home Counties Joint Electricity Authority for consolidating and improving the supply in the London and Home Counties Electricity District will be found in the annual reports of the Joint Authority and of the Electricity Commissioners covering the periods up to March, 1937. The schemes to which effect has been given are those to which the following Orders and Act relate:

London and Home Counties Electricity District (Amendment) Order, 1931. (Thames Valley Scheme.)

London and Home Counties Electricity District (Amendment) Order, 1932. (Mid-Surrey Scheme.)

Colne Valley Electricity Act, 1936. (North-West Middlesex Scheme.)
