69. Colonel Nathan

asked the Minister of Health for which of the Metropolitan boroughs he has fixed the appointed day for the operation of the overcrowding provisions of the Housing Act, 1936?

Sir K. Wood

I have now fixed the appointed days for all the Metropolitan boroughs.

Colonel Nathan

Has the right hon. Gentleman had an opportunity of considering the operation of the Act, and is he satisfied with the activity shown by the Metropolitan boroughs in that regard?

Sir K. Wood

All the dates in question have been agreed with the London County Council and the respective borough councils.
