HC Deb 14 March 1938 vol 333 cc27-8
59. Mr. Kelly

asked the Home Secretary the number of days' holiday with pay given each year to the members of the Metropolitan Police Force?

Sir S. Hoare

Members of the Metropolitan Police Force are granted leave with pay according to their rank on the scale laid down for all forces in the police regulations. I will circulate a table in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Kelly

What number of days per year holiday is given to the constables?

Sir S. Hoare

If the hon. Member will read the table which I propose to circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT, he will see those details set out.

Mr. Kelly

Are the constables given a fortnight's holiday in the year, and further, are they given additional holidays, as was suggested in the House last Tuesday, if they are in camps in the Territorial Forces?

Sir S. Hoare

The hon. Member had better look at the table, and he will see a number of details.
