asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, as representing the Lord President of the Council, what further steps it is proposed to take in the investigation into the problem of silicosis and other lung diseases in the anthracite coalfield of South Wales?

As soon as the examination of the data and material recently collected at Ammanford has been completed, the Medical Research Council propose to extend the investigation to at least one further colliery. Thereafter a report on the whole of the findings will be prepared.
