HC Deb 18 July 1938 vol 338 cc1804-5
64. Mr. Parker

asked the Secretary of State for War whether arrangements have yet been made for the provision of refresher courses for reserve officers?

The Financial Secretary to the War Office (Sir Victor Warrender)

No, Sir. Facilities for such instruction are not yet available, but the matter is receiving close attention.

Mr. Parker

In view of the mechanisation of the Army, surely it is necessary that some early action should be taken on the matter?

Sir V. Warrender

Yes, Sir; I think my answer conveys that I agree with that; but there are certain administrative difficulties.
