HC Deb 12 July 1938 vol 338 cc1102-3
33. Mr. Noel-Baker

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs when the report of the Commission appointed to inquire into the question of Irish immigration into Great Britain will be published?

Lord Stanley

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to my right hon. Friend the Member for South Molton (Mr. Lambert) on 3rd December last, of which I am sending him a copy. This contains the information obtained by the Inter-Departmental Committee which inquired into the question.

Sir T. Moore

Can my Noble Friend say whether the report will deal with the obvious advantages hitherto to Great Britain through the immigration of Irishmen into this country?
