HC Deb 06 July 1938 vol 338 cc385-6
70. Mr. Dunn

asked the Minister of Transport whether his Department has given consideration to the question of the construction of a ship canal between Goole and Sheffield, and what was the result of such considerations; and whether he will now appoint a committee to consider this question?

Mr. Burgin

No, Sir. The initiation of any such scheme would be a matter primarily for the authorities concerned.
