I beg to move, in page 8, line 28, at the end, to insert: (3) A co-ordination scheme may contain such provisions requiring uniformity of appliances and equipment as appear to the Fire Service Commission to be necessary for the purpose of ensuring that the fire brigades affected will be able to render efficient assistance in pursuance of the scheme. This Amendment is a further addition to the plans for standardisation with which we dealt earlier in the evening, and it deals particularly with the standardisation of appliances and equipment.
