HC Deb 28 February 1938 vol 332 c732
23. Mr. De la Bère

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can now give the House any information as regards the stabilisation of the price of feeding-stuffs?

The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. W. S. Morrison)

As I have informed my hon. Friend on previous occasions, feeding-stuff prices are in general governed by world causes over which the Government have no control.

Mr. De la Bère

Is not my right hon. Friend aware of the plight of the poultry breeders owing to the high cost of feeding stuffs, and that the policy of the survival of the fittest will send them all into bankruptcy?
