HC Deb 21 February 1938 vol 332 cc24-5
42. Sir Joseph Leech

asked the Minister of Agriculture why no survey has been completed by the survey department since October, 1936; and, in view of the fact that delay in making additional surveys deprives the public of an extension of the benefits of the land registry, what further steps he is taking to expedite the work, without which no initiating order under Section 120 of the Land Registry Act, 1925, can be made?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

Surveys for the purposes of the Land Registration Act, 1925, are carried out by the Ordnance Survey Department at the request of the Land Registry. The most recent survey was completed in October, 1936, and no requests for further surveys have since been received by my Department.
