HC Deb 22 December 1938 vol 342 cc3097-8
72. Mr. Parker

asked the Postmaster-General what progress has been made in carrying out the proposals for building new Crown post offices at Hornchurch and Upminster?

The Assistant Postmaster-General (Sir Walter Womersley)

I am sorry that a site has not yet been found in either case.

Mr. Parker

When can action be taken in this matter? It has been under consideration a long time.

Sir W. Womersley

We are very anxious to find a suitable site, and we shall welcome any assistance from the local authority in this matter.
