Resolution reported, That an humble Address be presented to His Majesty praying that His Majesty will give directions that a Monument be erected within the precincts of the Palace of Westminster to the memory of the late Right Honourable the Earl of Oxford and Asquith, with an inscription expressive of the high sense entertained by this House of the eminent services rendered by him to the country and Empire in Parliament, and in great Offices of State, and to assure His Majesty that this House will make good the expenses attending the same.
