§ Mr. LloydDuring the 12 months ended 30th June last, 360 persons were prosecuted in the Metropolitan Police District for cruelty to or neglect of children. Separate figures in respect of charges of cruelty apart from neglect are not available. The total figure for England and Wales was 1,053.
