HC Deb 06 December 1938 vol 342 c978
21. Mr. A. Jenkins

asked the Secretary for Mines whether he is now in a position to make a statement regarding the decision of the Government for granting financial or other aid for the export coal trade?

Captain Crookshank

No, Sir, not yet.

Mr. Jenkins

Can the Minister say when we are likely to get a statement? It has been delayed very considerably, and it is time we had a statement.

Captain Crookshank

I said last week that I would inform the House as soon as possible. I cannot go further than that.
