HC Deb 28 April 1938 vol 335 cc298-9
50. Mr. De la Bè re

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the fact that certain councils are endeavouring to have poultry houses pulled down under the operation of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1932, he will take steps to protect the small poultry keeper who uses his back garden for this purpose?

Sir K. Wood

It is open to any person who is aggrieved by the refusal of a council to permit under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1932, the erection of a poultry house, to appeal to me against such refusal, and any appeal so made would receive my careful consideration.

Mr. De la Bère

May I thank my right hon. Friend for his very satisfactory answer?

Sir A. Wilson

Will pigeons be included equally with poultry?
