HC Deb 12 April 1938 vol 334 c935
68. Mr. Messer

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the report which has been sent to him concerning the administration of Houghall Isolation Hospital, Durham; and what steps he proposes to take to deal with the complaints made?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Mr. Bernays)

My right hon. Friend has received a communication with regard to this hospital from the former matron, and is in correspondence with the Durham Rural District Council on the matter. I will inform the hon. Member of the result.

Mr. Messer

If, as the result of the information gained, a reason is shown for an investigation, will a complete inquiry take place and evidence be asked for?

Mr. Bernays

I must ask the hon. Member to await the result of my right hon. Friend's investigations.
