HC Deb 11 April 1938 vol 334 c749
34. Mr. Viant

asked the Postmaster-General whether it is now possible for the British Broadcasting Corporation to make arrangements for Members of this House to visit the London television station at Alexandra Palace?

Major Tryon

I am informed by the B. B. C. that it will be possible, after the Easter Recess, to arrange for Members of this House to inspect the London television station and to be present in the studio when an afternoon programme is being televised. It is not possible to accommodate comfortably more than ten visitors in the studio on any one day, and the Corporation will therefore send personal letters of invitation to Members, taking them in alphabetical order a few at a time.
