Member's permission, I will circulate a statement showing the amounts of the various alkaloids of opium manufactured at the Ghazipur Opium Factory for the year ending 30th September, 1937. The profit made on their sale was Rs.47,426 annas 13.
§ Mr. DayIs the export of this article to the United Kingdom being suspended except for medical and scientific purposes?
Lord StanleyI will make inquiries as to the exact regulations regarding these exports, but, as the hon. Member knows, most of them are sold through the High Commissioner to firms in this country. Their imports to this country are strictly controlled by the Home Office licensing system.
