HC Deb 11 April 1938 vol 334 cc761-2
11. Lieut.-Commander Fletcher

asked the Prime Minister whether a statement on the progress of the Anglo-Italian conversations will be made before the House rises for Easter?

The Prime Minister

A statement will be made at the earliest opportune moment, but I cannot yet say when that will be.

Lieut.-Commander Fletcher

If any agreement arises out of these conversations, will it be debated by the House before it is ratified?

The Prime Minister

I have already said that there will be an opportunity for discussion.
