HC Deb 28 October 1937 vol 328 cc245-6
53. Brigadier-General Spears

asked the Minister of Health whether he will inquire into the circumstances of the discharge of John Edward Corderoy from St. Nicholas Hospital, Plumstead, two days before his death in Brixton Prison from lung disease of long standing; and whether he will inform the House of any action he may propose to take in the matter?

Sir K. Wood

I have asked the London County Council to furnish me with a report upon the circumstances of the discharge of Mr. Corderoy from St. Nicholas Hospital, Plumstead. In the meantime, as my hon. and gallant Friend will appreciate, I am not in a position to judge if the matter is one calling for any action on my part.
