asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the total of the dead-weight debt shown in the national accounts includes the accrued but unpaid interest on savings certificates amounting to £124,000,000?

No, Sir, but the figure stated, which is an approximate estimate, is shown in the Finance Accounts, page 68.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether in future Budgets proper provision will be made for the annual charge of approximately £7,000,000 on account of accrued but unpaid interest on saving certificates?
