HC Deb 15 November 1937 vol 329 c19
33. Mr. Graham White

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether it is his intention to introduce a Bill to amend the Wheat Act during the present Session?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

Yes, Sir.

Mr. White

Can the Minister give the House any indication of the scope of the proposal?

Mr. Morrison

Only in the most general terms. Amending legislation is necessary to deal with the position created by a certain decision in the House of Lords, and the opportunity will be taken for a complete review of the working of this Act, and any consequential amendments which that review indicates to be necessary will be incorporated in the legislation.

Sir P. Harris

When will the Bill be introduced?

Mr. Morrison

I cannot say, but as soon as possible.
