§ 34. Mr. E. J. Williamsasked the Minister of Agriculture what progress has been made in preparation for the cleaning of Ogmore River?
§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonI understand that the Mid-Glamorgan Rivers Catchment Board have prepared a scheme of works for the River Ogmore; that this scheme has been deposited by the Catchment Board locally for public inspection; and that it is the intention of the Catchment Board to take a final decision on the scheme in the near future, and thereafter to submit it to me for approval for a grant under Section 55 of the Land Drainage Act, 1930.
§ Mr. WilliamsWill the Minister give the scheme favourable consideration?
§ Mr. MorrisonI would not like to prejudge it before I have had an opportunity of seeing the scheme, but I sympathise with the hon. Member's desire in this matter, and will do what I can to assist.
