asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the present Extradition Treaty between His Majesty's Government and the Italian Government is to be extended to include Abyssinia; and whether any negotiations to This end are proceeding?

Mr. Eden

There have been no negotiations of the nature indicated in the question, and no such extension is contemplated at present.

Mr. Day

Does the present Treaty contain an optional clause for the surrender of each country's nationals?

Mr. Eden

I am afraid I cannot answer that question without notice.
