§ 10. Sir J. Mellorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a statement with regard to the service of the sterling bonds of the Greek Government issued under the auspices of the League of Nations?
§ Mr. EdenI regret to state that no offer has yet been received from the Greek Government in respect of these bonds which is acceptable either to the Council of Foreign Bondholders or to the League Loans Committee. I would add that it is the full intention of His Majesty's Government to continue to do, as they have in the past, whatever is possible to bring about a satisfactory settlement.
