HC Deb 01 November 1937 vol 328 c519
18. Mr. Sandys

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of Signor Mussolini's speech advocating the possession of African Colonies by Germany and denouncing the absurdity of the territorial clauses of the Peace Treaties, he will inquire from the Italian Government which parts of Italy's African possessions they are prepared to offer to Germany; and what their attitude is towards those clauses of the Peace Treaties by which Italy acquired the large German-speaking districts of Southern Tyrol?

Mr. Eden

Perhaps my hon. Friend would be good enough to await my speech in this afternoon's Debate.
