Mr. Dayasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the fact that certain automatic windscreen wipers fitted to some public service vehicles are not efficient, he can say whether any tests have been made by the officers of his Department to prove the efficiency of same and see that they comply with the regulations issued by his Department?
§ Mr. Hore-BelishaAll public service vehicles must obtain a certificate of compliance with conditions of fitness laid down by statutory regulations and these include the provision of an efficient windscreen wiper. These vehicles are subject to further inspection at least once a year.
