HC Deb 26 May 1937 vol 324 cc275-6
45. Lieut.-Commander Fletcher

asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence whether he can now make any statement regarding the future of the Fleet Air Arm?

The Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence (Sir Thomas Inskip)

No, Sir. I am not able to make any statement at present.

Mr. Davidson

May I ask the Minister when the House will receive a statement?

Sir T. Inskip

I have had difficulties, of which I think hon. Members will be aware, in getting on with the inquiry. Obviously, the Imperial Conference is causing very great pressure on the time of public servants who are very fully engaged there.
