HC Deb 25 May 1937 vol 324 cc105-6
28. Mr. Day

asked the Prime Minister whether, with the object of reducing unemployment in Great Britain, it is intended that any of the Ministers of His Majesty's Government will undertake a mission during the summer adjournment to any of the Dominions or Colonies?

The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. Chamberlain)

I have been asked to reply. So far as I am aware no such visits are in contemplation. If any visit should be arranged it would be announced in due course.

Mr. Day

In view of the great success of a previous visit of this kind, will the right hon. Gentleman consider it?
