HC Deb 25 May 1937 vol 324 cc104-5
26. Mr. Mander

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it is proposed to hold further staff conversations between the representatives of Great Britain and France, in view of the altered situation caused by the withdrawal of Belgium from the staff conversations that took place last March?

The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Viscount Cranborne)

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to him by my right hon. Friend on 28th April, to which I have nothing to add.

Mr. Mander

Do I understand that the existing situation was satisfactorily dealt with at the previous technical conversations, and that no change is necessary?

Viscount Cranborne

Perhaps the hon. Member will understand exactly what is in the answer.

Mr. Mander

There is nothing in the answer at all.
