HC Deb 25 March 1937 vol 321 cc3049-50
6. Mr. Jagger

asked the Minister of Labour what steps he is taking to bring about negotiations between the directors of the District Bank and the officials of the Bank Officers' Guild representing the employes; and, pending such negotiations, will he endeavour to secure that the directors shall cease the issuing of circulars to their employes calculated to intimidate them into withdrawing from the membership of the guild?

Mr. E. Brown

Following representations made to me by the Bank Officers' Guild, I have been in communication with the District Bank. The matter is still under my consideration, and in the circumstances I do not think that it is desirable that I should make any further comment on the position at the present time.
