HC Deb 23 March 1937 vol 321 c2728
19. Mr. E. J. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for War the number of persons for whom employment will be found at the Bridgend munitions factory when in full commission, and the proportion of labour from local Employment Exchanges, male and female, respectively?

The Secretary of State for War (Mr. Duff Cooper)

The size and staff requirements of the Bridgend factory have not yet been settled but the greater part of the labour required will probably be obtained through local Employment Exchanges.

Mr. Williams

Can the Minister give an indication of the number of men who will be employed?

Mr. Cooper

I am afraid that I cannot do so at present.
