HC Deb 18 March 1937 vol 321 cc2232-3
7. Mr. Mander

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is satisfied that all firms in South Staffordshire holding Government contracts are paying the standard rates of wages generally, and in particular those for unskilled labourers, to which his attention has already been directed?

Mr. E. Brown

If the hon. Member would indicate any case in which there is ground for thinking that fair wages conditions are not being observed, the matter would, of course, be examined by the Department concerned.
