HC Deb 04 March 1937 vol 321 c506
9. Mr. Wilson

asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the popularity which has attended the establishment of milk bars, he will consider the possibility of setting up in some of the more necessitous areas public kitchens where, at a small cost, the more nutritious kinds of food can be supplied either for consumption on the premises or otherwise?

Mr. E. Brown

The service which the hon. Member suggests should be established does not lie within my powers as Minister of Labour.

Viscountess Astor

With whom do the powers lie?

Mr. Wilson

To whom should questions be addressed?
