HC Deb 04 March 1937 vol 321 c507
14. Mr. George Hall

asked the Minister of Labour whether the National Advisory Council for Juvenile Employment has made any recommendation with regard to the provision of meals at juvenile instruction centres; and whether, in view of the need for improving national physique, the Minister proposes to take steps to provide meals for these juveniles?

Mr. E. Brown

I received a few days ago an interim report on this matter from the National Advisory Council for England and Wales, and am expecting very shortly a report from the Council for Scotland. The recommendations made will be considered at once and a decision taken as soon as possible.

Mr. Hall

Will the report be published?

Mr. Brown

I hope to make it available so that hon. Members may know what it contains.

Mr. Hall

When?

Mr. Brown

As soon as I have considered it.
