HC Deb 02 March 1937 vol 321 cc149-50
6. Mr. T. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what negotia- tions, if any, have taken place between himself or his Department, the building trade organisations, and the Corporation of Glasgow for the speeding-up of working-class houses in that city?

Mr. Elliot

I am at present discussing with representatives of the building trade organisations the question of the measures to be taken to secure better progress in housing in Scotland as a whole, and as part of that object I have recently had an informal meeting with members of the Glasgow Corporation Housing Committee.
