HC Deb 02 March 1937 vol 321 c154
11. Mr. Chater

asked the Secretary for Mines whether there is any shortage of coal for export from the North-East Coast to Norway; and whether that country is experiencing any difficulty in obtaining from this country the quantities of coal which form the quota Norway must take from Britain under the Anglo-Norwegian trade agreement?

Captain Crookshank

I have recently received from the Norwegian State Coal Committee two complaints of inability to obtain particular qualities of coal, and they are at present under investigation by my Department.
