§ The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Lieut.-Colonel Colville)In the last annual report of the Bank for International Settlements the gold reserve of the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics 816 at the end of 1936 is estimated at 3,535 million gold Swiss francs, or about £236,000,000. I know of no official figures.
