HC Deb 14 June 1937 vol 325 c14
26. Colonel Ropner

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that, owing to the rearmament programme, many farmers are finding difficulty in obtaining new machinery; and what measures are being taken to prevent undue delay in meeting agricultural requirements?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

I have received no complaints from farmers that they are finding difficulty in obtaining new machinery. I have received one or two complaints from manufacturers of agricultural machinery of delays in obtaining supplies of iron and steel, each of which has been investigated, and I shall be pleased to investigate any specific complaint which my hon. Friend may bring to my notice.
