HC Deb 09 June 1937 vol 324 c1757
58. Mr. J. Griffiths

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will bear in mind the serious decrease in the numbers employed in agriculture in Wales during the past seven years in framing the Government's long-term policy, particularly in regard to the improvement of grass lands and the provision of lime, which is available in abundance in South Wales?

The Minister of Pensions (Mr. Ramsbotham)

I have been asked to reply. I can assure the hon. Member that all relevant considerations are being taken into account in developing the policy which my right hon. Friend announced to the House on 27th May. As regards the provision of lime, I would refer the hon. Member to replies given on 31st May and 2nd June to the hon. Member for Barnard Castle (Mr. Sexton).
