HC Deb 07 June 1937 vol 324 c1419
52. Mr. Kelly

asked the Home Secretary the number of reports received since 1935 as to workpeople complaining of incapacity for work by reason of industrial disease arising from work in the asbestos industry?

Mr. Lloyd

The only figures I can give are as follow: In 1936 there were three applications to the Medical Board for certificates of disablement from asbestosis, all of which were refused.
