HC Deb 29 July 1937 vol 326 c3288
23. Mr. Thorne

asked the Home Secretary whether he can give the House any information in connection with an accident, in which a man was killed and two men were injured, at the Seaton Carew Ironworks of the South Durham Steel and Iron Company; and whether he can say what was the cause of the accident and give any other information about the matter?

Sir S. Hoare

I have received a preliminary report, but pending the inquest the hon. Member will appreciate that I am not in a position to make any statement. The circumstances will, of course, be fully investigated.
