HC Deb 21 July 1937 vol 326 c2193
35. Mr. Holdsworth

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the suggested old age pension scheme has been brought into operation in the island of Trinidad; and whether the rights of dividing societies will be safeguarded on the introduction of the scheme and the right to distribute bonus will remain uninterfered with?

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

I have no information on the subject; but I will communicate with the Governor in the matter.

Mr. Holdsworth

Will the right hon. Gentleman make inquiries and find out something about the matters mentioned in the question?

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

I have said I will.
