HC Deb 05 July 1937 vol 326 c3
3. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the recommendations of the Esher Committee, the Innes Committee, and the Hezeltine Committee have been fully carried into effect; and whether the Government of India have received representations concerning the grievances of Civil servants at Simla?

Lord Stanley

The recommendations of the committees mentioned were very numerous and dealt with a variety of matters. Not all of them were accepted, and I am afraid that it is not possible for me within the limits of an Oral Answer to deal adequately with the subject. If the hon. Member will give me some indication of the particular subjects on which he desires information I will make inquiries.
