HC Deb 24 February 1937 vol 320 cc1987-8
45. Sir Percy Harris

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government have given any consideration to the future of the Crystal Palace site; and whether, considering that the Palace was a great national institution, he will take steps to secure that the site is utilised to promote the health and recreation of the people?

The Prime Minister (Mr. Baldwin)

As regards the first part of the question, this is primarily a matter for the trustees under the Crystal Palace Act, 1914; as to the second part of the question, if the trustees have any proposals to make with this end in view they will no doubt in due course lay them before the National Advisory Council for Physical Training and Recreation.
