HC Deb 17 February 1937 vol 320 cc1175-6
40. Sir William Davison

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether he can assure the House that adequate precautions are being taken to conceal the new aircraft factories and aerodromes from aerial observation; and whether adequate provision is being made for underground hangars, etc.?

Sir V. Warrender

I am advised that the matters referred to are being accorded all due attention.

Sir W. Davison

May I understand that some of the new hangars at any rate are underground, or are there any of them underground?

Sir V. Warrender

As the object of any measure would be concealment, I do not think that object would be attained by my answering that question.
