§ 57. Mr. Silkinasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the anxiety existing among tenants who are at present protected by the provisions of the Rent (Restrictions) Acts and who cease to be protected in June, 1938; and whether and, if so, when, he proposes to introduce legislation to continue the period of protection?
§ Sir K. WoodI have no evidence of any widespread anxiety, but the matter has not escaped my notice and the necessary decisions on the question of future legislation dealing with the Rent Restriction Acts will be taken by the Government well before the Acts expire.
