HC Deb 11 February 1937 vol 320 cc557-8
18. Mr. Ammon

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that the justices of the Holborn division have drawn the notice of the Kensington division to the dangers arising from the consumption of "Red Biddy"; whether other justices have acted similarly; and what steps does he propose to take in the matter?

The Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd)

I have nothing to add to my right hon. Friend's answer to the hon. Member's question on this subject on 17th December last, except to suggest that he may be referring, in the first part of his question, to a communication which I understand was addressed in June last by the Justices for the St. Pancras Division to other Benches of Justices in the County of London.

Mr. Ammon

Do I gather that the hon. Gentleman now says that his right hon. Friend was not fully informed when he replied to me on the 17th December, when he denied that there was such a communication?

Mr. Lloyd

Other information has come along since.
